Dr Sara Grafenauer is the General Manager, Grains & Legumes Nutrition Council. A PhD qualified Accredited practising Dietitian (AdvAPD) and author. PhD Research focused on dietary patterns and dietary change in weight loss. Honorary Fellow at the University of Wollongong. The Grains & Legumes Nutrition CouncilTM (GLNC) established a voluntary Code of Practice for Whole Grain Ingredient Content Claims in 2013 providing guidance for whole grain content claims, with cutoff values & suggested wording ≥8grams, ≥16g and ≥24g per manufacturer serve (contains; high and very high in whole grain). This project follows from an impact assessment conducted in 2016 reporting on the uptake of the Code by manufacturers, changes in numbers of whole grain products and claims on‐pack. The objective is to measure the growth of whole grain in the Australian market.
